Giorgio Grebaz

Candidate for Director at Large

Giorgio Grebaz is a district health, safety, and environment manager at PCL Construction in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, and began his career as a carpenter. From there, he moved into superintendent roles in the industry, through which he was introduced to safety programs. The knowledge he gained there enabled him to implement health and safety processes into his company, and to train to become a health and safety professional. He has also worked as an employee and consultant in the oil and gas sector, manufacturing, and mining. Giorgio operated his own safety consulting firm for 12 years.

Giorgio has attained several designations throughout his career, including as a National Construction Safety Officer, a Gold Seal in Construction Safety Coordination, and a Canadian Health and Safety Consultant. He is also a Canadian Registered Safety Professional.

The CSSE has been an important part of Giorgio’s health and safety journey. He has been an active member since 2009 and an enthusiastic promoter of the CSSE’s professional development and training programs, conferences, and networking opportunities. Over the years, he has worked with members of the national Board on a number of projects.

Giorgio is looking forward to the opportunity to help the CSSE move forward during this transformational time. He believes that his experience, knowledge, and skills would be an asset to the organization and instrumental in implementing the new strategic plan. He wants to channel his passion for the work of the CSSE and the health and safety profession into his work on the Board. As well, his access to significant resources through his work with one of the largest general contractors in Canada gives him the ability use some of the these resources to support CSSE initiatives.
