On April 1st, new regulations dealing with violence and harassment in the workplace will be enacted.  CSSE are bringing industry experts to discuss compliance, legal ramifications and the complexities of these new regulations.

Presentations by:

Angela Francoeur, Regulatory Review Officer, Worksafe NB, provides an overview of the new Workplace Violence and Harassment Regulations and the tools available to assist in meeting these regulations

Shelley R. Dumouchel, Lawyer with Amicus Law and Mediation highlights potential charges and case law that pertain to violations of the regulations, human rights complaints and civil charges.

Sarina McKinnon, Legal Counsel and Head of Mediation Unit, New Brunswick Human Rights Commission outlines when harassment falls under discrimination in the NB Human Rights Act, the 16 protected grounds and the complaint and mediations process.

Sally J Wells, Workplace Consultant presents on the psychosocial toll that workplace harassment has on individuals in the workplace and discuss strategies on how to create and maintain respectful workplaces.
