Chalena Biggar

With just under 10 years in the Health & Safety field, Chalena has already achieved success by implementing key safety initiatives within the organizations she’s worked with throughout the Atlantic provinces.  She has experience in such industries as construction, transportation, manufacturing, processing, fisheries and aquaculture.  Her speciality areas include evaluating safety management systems, incident reporting systems management and encouraging an open and positive safety culture. 

Upon beginning her career in OH&S, Chalena quickly obtained her HSA, CSC and COR with the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association as well as completing her OHS Certificate from UNB.  She is currently working towards obtaining her OHS Diploma from UNB, the CHSC designation with CSSE and is writing the CRSTEX in 2019.

Chalena is currently a Health & Safety Specialist with Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a family owned company that started with a passion for seafood in 1985 and is now a global seafood leader.  She is also a Motorcycle Safety course instructor with Safety Services NB.  She resides in Saint John, NB with her family.
