Board of Directors - Grant Aune
Grant is the President and CEO of Advantage Fleet Services Inc which has been in business since November 2001. His company specializes in risk management, loss prevention and safety training for local, national and international companies in the commercial transportation industry who use fleets to conduct their business. (ie: forestry, oil & gas, transit, municipalities).
Grant was an RCMP officer for over 24 years, specializing as a Collision Reconstructionist, in particular dealing with large commercial vehicles. He has been declared an “expert” by the courts, in the field of collision investigation, analysis and reconstruction and has testified in Provincial, County and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, Alberta and the Yukon covering subject matters related to motor vehicle collisions.
He subsequently worked for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia in their Commercial Loss Prevention Program and was responsible for the Southern Interior Region of British Columbia. He worked directly within the commercial transportation industry, dealing with companies having fleets, to reduce their risk of actual and financial loss. He also provided driver training and collision reviews for clients.
His passion for this work is the result of both his professional and personal experiences and he is committed to expanding on the skills and abilities of professional drivers. This company has been a great opportunity for Grant to help improve safety standards/practices and to advance safety concerns for his clients and ultimately all users of our highways.
