SAFETY AND HEALTH WEEK 2021

The North American Occupational Safety and Health Week is a continent-wide event spanning the countries of Canada, USA, and Mexico. The goal during the Safety & Health Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, partners, and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community.

We are also supporting the Red Deer Steps for Life Walk on May 8th to help raise awareness of workplace fatalities and the importance of injury prevention awareness in our community.  This walk will be virtual this year with the opening ceremony starting at 11 am on May 8th.  Afterwards, they will be hosting a scavenger hunt for their participants using an app that can be downloaded on your cell phone.  This scavenger hunt will be family friendly and can be done anywhere.  To participate in this event, please register using the following link and you will be sent a link to the opening ceremony and password for the scavenger hunt:  http://events.threadsoflife.ca/site/TR?fr_id=1233&pg=entry

You can register as an individual or team with family, friends or co-workers.  Donations are appreciated by not expected to participate.  All funds raised go to the registered charity Threads of Life and help provide support services to families of workplace tragedy.  You can find out more information on this worthy charity at: https://threadsoflife.ca/
