The Executive Director, Occupational Health & Safety Services reports to the President & CEO and is responsible for the strategic planning, development, leadership, execution and evaluation of province-wide initiatives in the areas of Attendance Support, Workplace Wellness and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)for BC’s public health care sector.
The Executive Director will develop partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders including Affiliate member employers, Health Authorities, Unions and a range of agencies including, but not limited to, WorksafeBC, SafeCare BC, and benefit providers.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, vision, and superior communication abilities to this role. An exceptional ability to develop partnerships and build consensus will be essential for success. A broad understanding of occupational health and safety issues is preferred. A solid understanding the operational realities of the health care sector would be an asset.
Along with a Master’s level of education in a relevant area, you will have 10+ years’ experience in progressively more complex leadership roles. You have a proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner, build partnerships, reach consensus, set vision and direction. You have a solid history of implementing successful programs and can influence and negotiate sensitive situations and relationships.

We also have a key role in the negotiation of the BC Physician Master Agreement and work closely with the Doctors of BC, the Ministry of Health and the Health Authorities on a range of physician related issues.
