Ontario Regulation 278/05 - the amended Regulation respecting Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations came into force on November 1, 2005. Some of the more significant changes include: expansion of application to non-friable materials; a new bulk sampling protocol; changes to approved analytical methods; new clearance sampling requirements; mandatory training asbestos abatement workers; new notification requirements; and upgraded respiratory protection standards. This course provides an in-depth examination of the requirements of the regulation, including new sampling and analytical standards, and explains how to establish and run a cost-effective and compliant asbestos management program.
