The CSSE’s mission is to be the premier organization for health, safety and loss prevention specialists and to encourage the pursuit of excellence in the profession. The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) is Canada's national resource for workplace health and safety information. CCOHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of a safe and healthy working environment by providing impartial information and advice for the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses. The mission of the Labour Program of Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) is to promote a fair, safe, healthy, stable, cooperative and productive work environment that contributes to the social and economic well-being of all Canadians. Founded in 1911, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the oldest and largest professional safety organization and is committed to protecting people, property and the environment. Its more than 30,000 members manage, supervise, research and consult on safety, health, transportation and environmental issues in all industries, government, labor and education.
