Protecting Your Personal Information
Certain processes available on this website are used to collect personal information such as "Become a Member", "Update Your Profile", "Course or Conference Registration", etc. CSSE collects no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us. Any personally identifiable data about customers or website visitors is stored securely and used only for the purpose for which it is provided to us.
Payment Data Collected
All credit card information is collected and stored securely. CSSE uses the information only for the purpose supplied and does not maintain credit card information for each individual member.
Sharing your Personal Information
CSSE do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, sponsors, potential sponsors and other parties to help them better understand CSSE members and their interests.
Such aggregate information is used to give CSSE demographic data about its members in order to improve the organization and the programs and services we provide.
CSSE may use third party service providers to help us operate the Association, the CSSE website and/or administer activities on our behalf. These activities may include but are not limited to sending out newsletters, surveys or polls. CSSE may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have not opted out of receiving communications. In the event that you have opted out of receiving communications from the CSSE you may receive a message as it pertains to bylaws and other such regulatory announcements defined by the Board and/or National Office as necessary communication.
The information you provide to CSSE - such as your name, address, etc. - allows CSSE to inform you about events and activities and to notify you about issues, events or special offers which may be of interest to you. By becoming a member or by requesting information or registering for events or courses offered by CSSE, you are giving CSSE permission to contact you by way of the information you provide. The operating system for the CSSE website (www.csse.org) may automatically record some general information about your visit, such as:
- The Internet domain for your Internet service provider, such as "company.com" or "service.ca" and the IP address of the computer accessing the website, such as "ppp-55";
